母亲节【英语课例】

母亲节，这是天下母亲的节日，它的意义在于让我们在繁忙的琐事中留出一点时间记忆母亲的养育之恩，通过某种方式感谢人间至爱。

    我可以让学生在感到学业枯燥麻木的时候也体验到母亲的付出、微笑、支持和期待。在我看来，英语，不仅仅是一门学科，一种交流的工具，更是文化、思想和情感的载体。

     英语教师两篇英文诗歌并打印，让班长发给同学，同桌共用一份。作为一份特殊的英语作业，我提了两条学习建议：

1. Read the poems several times until you’re familiar and have understood them.

2. Express your love and thanks to your mother in some way you like.

M-O-T-H-E-R

“M”is for the million things she gave me,

“O”means only that she is growing old,

“T”is for the tears she shed to save me,

“H”is for her heart of purest gold,

“E”is for her eyes, with love-light shining,

“R”means right, and right she will always be.

Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER”,

A word that means the world to me.

Mother's Love

There is no love, like a mother's love,

no stronger bond on earth...

like the precious bond that comes from God,

to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong,

never changing for all time...

and when her children need her most,

a mother's love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,

God bless them every one...

for all the tears and heartache,

and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,

a mother's love lives on...

through many generations,

with God's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,

for they love with a higher love...

from the power God has given,

and the strength from up above.
